Pacers 100, Hornets 93: We Like Road Wins

The Pacers found a way to close out a win against the Hornets in Oklahoma City, 100-93. It wasn't pretty and it wasn't easy, but then again, it rarely is with the Pacers. After Jermaine O'Neal's comments ripping the inconsistent play and overall direction of the team hit the public conscience this morning, his teammates responded with a little help. Al Harrington and Stephen Jackson each scored 27 points to go along with JO's 22. The Pacers would need every point they could get as the Hornets would refuse to go away until finally running out of time. Here is the AP game recap. Couple of quick points:
  • Desmond Mason put on a show for the Hornets including hitting a fading out of bounds baseline runner that had to be shot over the corner of the backboard, evoking memories of Larry Joe Legend's playing days.
  • Jamaal Tinsley hit a couple of key jumpers to help seal the win late in the game.
  • The Pacers head home for a couple of days off before playing Atlanta at Conseco Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
